Senior Research Officer
Job Responsibilities:
The incumbent is expected to perform the following tasks:
1. Preparing research proposals and participating in projects with team members
2. Conducting research studies and academic assignments as ascertained by reporting officer or project lead
3. Liaise with district administration, health department and community representatives for community engagement
4. Ready to travel extensively in the field area
5. Participate in any other project or study activity that may be assigned from time to time.
6. Help in preparation of project reports and other materials for documentation and dissemination.
7. Represent the organization at different forums.
Qualifications and Skills:
Essential
• Post graduate in health sciences/ social sciences/ anthropology or demography
• Proficiency in English writing and reading
• Experience in field implementation of projects and involvement in primary community-based data collection activities
• Training/ experience in Large-scale community based surveys/health related surveys or in a topic relevant to the project
• Basic knowledge of data management and statistical analysis
Desirable skills:
• Sound knowledge of resource management especially team management
• Experience of handling electronic data capture and its related processes
Remuneration: The incumbent will be compensated in terms of salary and designation comparable to industry standards.
